If you’re pregnant or planning to be, a book can provide you with a wealth of information relating to everything from pre-conception and pregnancy to labour, birth and beyond.
To help you through the maze of pregnancy books (and help you decide on the best read for you), our panel of three expectant mums have been busy reviewing some of the latest books to hit the shelves.

Jemma (27 weeks pregnant), Lara (11 weeks pregnant & mum to 2 year old Findlay) and Sam (8 weeks pregnant) are from London and met whilst studying at college. Having spent the last three weeks with their noses in eleven different pregnancy books, all three agreed that ‘it’s essential to find a book that’s right for you’. ‘Some are dated, others communicate the information in a patronising way’, ‘whereas others are quite simply a joy to read’. ‘Finding the right book is no mean feat but if you have a preferred style and know what sort of information you require, it’s far easier to get it right.’
