As your baby grows
You need to have another look at the equipment you might need during your baby’s
development:
- Highchair- once your baby is starting to support himself and is eating solids
- Safety devices- as soon as your baby is mobile, you’ll need safety equipment
including a stair gate, fire guard, cupboard locks and plug socket protectors
- Travel cot- useful if you often stay overnight with family or friends
- Back carrier- for walks where pushchairs are impractical, once your baby is sitting
up and self-supporting (usually at around six months)
- Next-stage car seat- between six and nine months, your baby may outgrow his present
car seat. Remember to judge the point to move him to a new seat by his weight, rather than
his age
