Fluoride drops

Tooth brush and tooth pasteFluoride does help strengthen the teeth but too much can cause mottling and discoloration of the teeth. For this reason fluoride drops should only be given on the recommendation of your dentist or health visitor. Fluoride is added to most toothpaste and is also found naturally in or even added to some water supplies, so your health visitor or dentist can advise you if it is necessary in your area and how much to give. If needed, supplements can be started at about six months of age.
