bones are still very soft and malleable. You can buy baby socks and tights, and cot shoes (soft and flexible) but don’t be tempted to buy proper shoes until your baby is
walking well - Scratch mittens are useful to protect your newborn from scratching himself with his
sharp little nails. Don’t keep them on too much, as babies need to discover their
