How to deal with colic

Colic is a common problem in babies, and is traditionally at its worst around three months of age. Babies cry for a long periods, often at the same time each day, and often draw their legs up in pain.

What to do

Try Simethicone (usually sold as colic drops), a treatment which is not absorbed into
the body, but helps break down bubbles in milk feeds in the stomach, allowing swallowed
air to be brought up more easily when you wind the baby. It is available over the counter.
