Minor Major on it’s way!

12 January 2000>

ACTRESS Emma Noble and her husband James Major are expecting their first
child.

The child, who is due in July, will be the first grandchild for Mr
Major’s parents, former Prime Minister John Major and his wife Norma.

The couple have been celebrating with Miss Noble’s parents, who live in Sidcup.
Dame Norma Major said she and her husband were delighted by the news.

Emma and James married in May last year, at the Houses of Parliament. Even before the
wedding, the now-27-year-old former Price Is Right hostess said she wanted to
start a family before she was 30 years old.

Miss Noble had just won the lead part in a new ITV drama about Queen Boadicea and it is
believed that filming may have to be rearranged to accommodate her pregnancy.

She is quoted today in the Sun as saying: "I am delighted and absolutely thrilled
to bits. It is the most fantastic news."

Her husband, James, who was fitted with a pacemaker last year after suffering heart
problems, is quoted as saying he had not stopped smiling since he heard the news.
