Preventing trapped fingers, knocks and bumps

Every year almost 20,000 children in the UK require hospital treatment for trapped fingers. To avoid some of the risks you can fit the following:

  • Finger protectors – these can be fitted on the inside door hinge to prevent trapping and over the top of a door to prevent the door from slamming shut on  fingers accidentally
  • Childproof locks - can be fitted to sliding patio doors to secure them either open or closed
  • Corner protectors – these are fitted with adhesive pads to any item of furniture with a sharp corner to cushion against bumping. Transparent styles are the least
    obtrusive in appearance
