It’s never too early to buy books for your baby. It may seema strange idea to ‘read’ a book to a baby of just a few months old, but the benefits are numerous: your baby loves hearing the sound of your voice and a book gives you a special opportunity to talk and repeat words to him. This enjoyable process also sows valuable seeds for developing speech, communication, and of course, reading.
Establishing a routine early on where you share and enjoy books will not only ensure that you have a quiet time together each day, but will also encourage a love of books which will hopefully stay with your child throughout his life.
