Getting there
Be prepared for a long flight with at least one – and more likely two
- connecting flights, making your journey last for up to 18 hours. The
local airport is about 20 minutes from the resort and a taxi will cost
about 350 pesos (about £16).
The resort
Ixtapa Pacific is set in lush tropical surroundings, and backs onto a
sandy beach. Brightly coloured furnishings and terracotta floors enhance
the feeling of a family hacienda. Accommodation ranges from a classic
room to suites, both of which have special family versions with brightly
painted murals in the children’s areas.

Food and Drink
The village is all-inclusive, so you can eat and drink to your heart’s
content, with a few minor exceptions, such as champagne. There is a huge
variety of restaurants and bars, accommodating all tastes whether you
like gourmet food or traditional tacos.
As well as catering for older children, the resort’s Club Med Baby provides
everything you need for a baby or toddler, including baby foods.
Activities and Entertainment
If you feel like taking advantage of any of the numerous sports activities,
or just want to sit at the hacienda style bar overlooking the Pacific,
then the kids’ club will give you the opportunity to do just that. Mini
Club Med for 4 – 10 years, or Juniors’ Club Med for 11 and over, keeps
the kids entertained, while Baby Club Med provides childminders to keep
your younger children and babies happy.
