The Royal Sportsman is Porthmadog’s premier Hotel, the only full service
quality 3* Hotel in Porthmadog with star ratings awarded by both the Welsh
Tourist Board and the AA. It is also referred to in a number of International
guides, magazines and brochures.Since early 1999, under its present owners,
the Hotel has been extensively refurbished after a decade of neglect.
The new house style was completed in 2005 with support from the Wales
Tourist Board and Gwynedd Council. It is once again a quality hotel

The hotel has 28 different sized bedrooms on three floors, for individuals,
couples, families, those who have difficulty in walking or are disabled
and even tour groups. All bedrooms are en-suite and non smoking. 5 Family
rooms – double & single beds with bath & shower. 2 Family rooms – double
& twin adult size bunk beds with bath & shower. 12 standard and larger doubles,
10 with shower. 4 Twin rooms-3 with bath/shower, 1 with shower only. 6 single
rooms all with shower only.

Price band
Family Rooms are from £85, with each additional adult over 16
years of age £26 more. Accommodation for children under 5 is free, breakfast
for children under 5 is £3. Bed & breakfast for children aged between
5-15 costs £10. All children offers apply only when sharing a Family Room
with 2 adults.
