Insect sting soothers

Various creams and sprays are available over the counter to alleviate sting pain. Some are suitable only for babies over one year old. Others do not specify age limitations. Check with your pharmacist which they recommend for your baby. Do not spray near your baby’s eyes, mouth or on to broken skin. If your baby shows symptoms of allergy after the sting, such as swelling or breathing difficulties, seek medical help at once.
