For babies, tablets should be crushed between two clean teaspoons and dissolved in 2fl oz of warm water, giving a teaspoon full as a dose. For young children, the tablets should be given crushed. Chamomilla is available in drop form.

| Aconite | Use in the first stages, especially if the child has been recently exposed to cold wind or draught. Frequent sneezing, watery discharge. Comes on very suddenly. |
| Belladonna | High temperature, red face, staring eyes, child feels thirsty. Very sensitive to light. |
| Pulsatilla | Thick, green catarrh, child clinging and tearful. Not thirsty. |
| Mercurius | Begins as a sore throat. Child has earache and sensitive to draughts. Lymph glands in the neck swollen. Too much saliva. |
| Gelsemium | Resembles flu. Heavy-eyed, weak and shivery. Aches and chills. |
