19 Dec 2011 – Bambino or Bambina?

Posted on

Ok, where do I start??

Well, my name is Nadine and I’m 31, I found out last week that I’m pregnant with my second child….yay! A lot has happened in the past year, hence why I don’t know where to start  really, I separated from my ex and the father of my son last October and got divorced, in between all that, I moved into my parents with my son, it was the best option as I couldn’t maintain the house and it’s been great, a couple of tricky moments when we first moved in but soon sorted out. Anyway, I got together with my OH, he’s Italian, I’m half Italian and he’s my favourite person in the whole world and someone I’ve known all my life. So this isn’t a rush for us, it’s just something that should have happened years ago! He’s moved here to try and find work which is proving difficult, his English is fantastic just the work opportunities are not, so things might be a little tough, but we’ll be ok.

14+2

Well, as the title says, I’m 14+2 which does mean I’m in the second trimester, I can’t believe it really, it seems to have come round very quickly…..but I’m pleased as I actually feel quite normal now, although have constant indigestion/gas in my stomach. I bought some Gaviscon but was nearly sick when I had some so not so good really.

I’m definitely showing, it doesn’t help that my stomach is bloated as it just makes it more pronounced. If I suck my stomach in I don’t look big, but stuff that, I like to be comfortable. I’m still doing some light exercise so I’m not going to stress, although my love handles are back with a vengeance and the tops of my thighs, they are my problem areas and even when I’m a size 8, they’re still there, I’ll thank my mum and nan for the bodyshape I have! lol

That’s another weekend over with, and nearly another week!!

Sunday was relaxed although we decided to go into Stamford as DS was with his dad but when we arrived the heavens opened, I mean, really opened, but after about 10 minutes it stopped, so had a mooch round and had some lunch…..but then Monday was just a crazy day, the furniture I ordered from Ikea arrived, all for DS’s room. So there was mum and I working like troopers rearraning and building. But wow, his room looks fantastic now, and DS is so happy. The shelves were so easy to put together, the hardest job was shifting all his toys back in and finding new homes for them.

Next thing to order is some wardrobes from Ikea, I think we will all be building them as they are so damn tall. But I can’t wait, I love doing things like that. Getting little lady’s room ready, we’re going to redecorate it, mum wants it done, and we’ve decided on a really nice pink and blue combo from Dulux, looks fantastic and is not so girly because of the blue.

Well onto little lady, she’s been very quiet of late, we find her heartbeat ok though and she seems to be facing the other way as any movements I do get are quite subtle. Today she’s been a bit more obvious, so obviously shifting again. I just can’t wait to meet her really, I know the reality of the sleepless nights kicks in and I’ll be tired but I’m still looking forward to seeing her, seeing what she’s like.

I think that’s all for now, I’m having my lunch as I’m just so hungry today, I could eat loads if it was possbile.
