The new Spring menu at Frankie & Benny’s is vast. Such a wide selection to choose from it made it very difficult for us to decide what to eat when we visited to review their new menu.
We visited our local Frankie & Benny’s in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire on a Friday evening. The welcome from the staff was excellent, they greeted us with a very friendly and efficient manner.
We were given a booth to sit in as the theme of the Frankie & Benny’s restaurant is American 50-60′s and the music is great. The children being 10 and 12 liked the music, but I do feel I enjoyed it more!
Once seated we were presented with our menu’s and asked what we would like to drink. There is a huge selection to meet every family member’s needs, so with drinks ordered we then set about deciding what to eat. My youngest picked up the children’s menu, but soon realised that she wanted to be “grown up” and chose the prawn cocktail to start with.
I went for the scallops and my husband went for the large chicken wings. So with two large prawn cocktails my two children dived into what they said “was the best prawn cocktails they had ever had”.
The selection of food is great and the children’s menu is “grown up” tastes but on a smaller scale. We followed our lovely starters with Calzone’s for us girls and the boys had steak and beef burger with tasty chips as a side order. Good job we were hungry the amount of food was plentiful and great value for money.
While eating our feast there was a few birthday’s being celebrated so the Frankie & Benny’s dog appeared to sing Happy Birthday and the atmosphere is lovely, with all tables clapping and joining in to wish people a happy day. The dog in our restaurant clearly loved these events and was definitely having a great time wagging his tail all over the place.
We then arrived at dessert!! Well the choice again was amazing but we all chose to go for the East Coast Sundae. Wow they were good, but huge. We waddled out the restaurant that evening.
The staff were extremely friendly, we were well looked after and although this was not our first visit to Frankie & Benny’s we really enjoyed the new menu and the wide selection. The atmosphere is great, as it is relaxed and welcoming for families, but equally I would be happy to visit as a couple looking for a nice evening to chat to my partner or with a group of friends.
The Aylesbury staff were very friendly and I would like to thank them for their attention and for looking after us very well.
