A few words from Amber
I have been fascinated by pregnancy and childbirth for as long as I can remember and always knew my calling was to be a midwife. I am passionate about midwifery and thoroughly enjoy working with women and their families.
I believe that the birth of a baby is the single most precious moment in any parents’ life. It’s therefore important for women to explore all the options open to them during their pregnancy, with regards to where and how to give birth, as well as decisions relating to their baby when he/she arrives.
Finding the right support and environment is key to the birthing experience. Preparing for pregnancy, labour and the arrival of the new baby helps women feel confident in themselves and their ability to give birth and care for their baby.
Babyworld’s antenatal clubs and the “Ask our Midwife” forum can be really helpful in providing women and their partners with the information and support they need during their journey to parenthood.
It’s exciting for me to be a part of all this and to have the opportunity of offering help and support to a far greater number of pregnant women and their partners than it’s been possible to do before.
