39 weeks, feeling rough (5 posts)

This is possibly quite a silly question considering I am having baby number 3.
I am 39+3 weeks and feeling a little off. I have had constant back ache all night and have very little sleep. i got a few tightenings last night that have now stopped. I also had loose stools andhad one large vomit. I have a normal temperature and haven’t vomited since. I have felt the baby move this morning.
Is this all normal for this stage of pregnancy or should i get checked out because of the vomiting?
This is the longest i have ever been pregnant at baby number 1 was an induction at 34 weeks due to pre-eclampsia and number 2 was born at 38 weeks, spontaneous labour. I never experienced any vomiting or illness late in pregnancy with that baby.
    Thanks

    Beckie

hi – i would say it all sounds perfectly normal- i remember being sick a lot in the last couple of weeks with no 2 and 3 and it seems to have raised it’s head again, also getting lots of twinges too. hopefully it wont be long for you now, but if you’re concerned then ring your gp or midwife, i’m sure they would be happy to see you to put your mind at rest. good luck

Thank you for your reply Claire. I didn’t have anymore vomiting so was going to leave it until I next saw the midwife on Tuesday. Baby ended up arriving in the early hours of this morning at 4.03am. Feeling much better now and enjoying my new daughter. Thank you again.
