BabyCam Car Monitoring SystemBabyCam Car Monitoring System is a back seat baby camera monitoring system with in-car wireless camera, companion screen, and suction mounts. It allows mums and dads to see their baby in the back seat whilst driving, without the risk of turning round, giving them constant reassurance that the baby is safe and well.

A compact wireless camera affixes to the side window to get a clear view of your baby and to transmit a video picture. This is received by a wireless display, fixed to the windscreen much like a Sat Nav, to view whilst driving.

I’ve used the babycam in the car and around the house for a few weeks now and i think it’s really fab product and I can see myself using it for quite sometime in the future. It’s more versatile than a traditional monitor and the picture quality is the best I’ve ever seen.

I have to say the reassurance it gives when I’m in the car is brilliant. For the first 2 months after my baby was born, before I had the babycam, I was terrible for worrying when I couldn’t hear any noise from her and I would turn round to look in the back seat of our car. With the babycam you just need t ogive a quick glance and you can see that everything is ok straight away.

What I think makes this such good value is the way you can unhook the camera and screen from the car windows and bring them inside to use. I think as my little one grows it will be really handy for use around the house – it’s no hassle to suck / unsuck the camera to an interior window temporarily.

On the whole I recommend the babycam to all mothers, great product.

The first impressions of the BabyCam car system were good. The monitor is a decent size to be able to see my baby and the camera isn’t too bulky.
The lever system that is used to create the suction on the windscreen and rear window is very easy to set up and to remove. The only thing that takes the time is getting the correct position of the camera to be able to see my baby clearly, but not difficult to do.
The picture quality on the screen is ideal for what the system is designed for.

The whole system is perfect for me as I suffer from hearing loss, so being able to visually see my baby is the perfect situation.
Initially I thought £99.99 was quite a lot of money but for piece of my mind it is good value.
I would recommend this product to anyone and looking forward to carrying on using this BabyCar cam system as my baby grows up.

Anybody who has travelled in the car with a baby or young child will know that turning around to look at your child in the back seat is sometimes unavoidable when you are driving, we also know that it is really dangerous and we probably shouldn’t be doing it! I am one of the world’s worst offenders for glancing in the back seat while I am driving so I was delighted when I came across the Babycam. The Babycam is an ingenious device which allows you to see what your baby is doing in the back of the car by way of a monitor which is attached to your windscreen.

The Babycam comes in two parts – the camera and the monitor. The camera is approximately 2.5 inches square and sits on a bracket which is attached to the window with a sucker. When you first get the monitor it isn’t attached to the bracket but it is very easy to set up and there are step-by-step instructions in the manual. The head of the bracket pivots to allow you to get it in exactly the right position to see your baby. The first couple of times you set it up in your car it is quite tricky to get it in exactly the right place but it soon becomes second nature. To turn the camera on you press and hold the power switch, which is situated on the top of the camera, for 5 seconds, the LED light on the side of the camera will illuminate green when it is on. When we are using it with our front facing seat we put the camera on the side window, but for our rear facing seat it goes on the back window, I would imagine it will be different for different models of cars. There is a socket for the power cable on the side of the camera and this plugs into the car’s cigarette lighter, as does the monitor. A home power adapter kit is available to buy separately should you wish to charge the units at home.

The monitor soon became my best friend and I couldn’t imagine life without it now! It sits neatly on my front windscreen and like the camera is mounted on a bracket and attached with a suction cup. The 3.5″ coloured screen transmits a crystal clear picture of your baby in the back. This turns to night vision if you are driving at night. To turn the monitor on you press and hold the power button on the top of the monitor for 3 seconds, the green LED light will illuminate so you know it is on. In the top left of the monitor a signal quality indicator is displayed and in the top right hand corner is the battery level indicator. I was amazed at the quality of the picture on the monitor and am instantly reassured now that I can see my daughter in the back.

The Babycam can be used in the house as well as in the car and it has a range of 100m which is perfect for keeping an eye on your little one when they are in a different room to you.

For me this is the ultimate peace-of-mind kit which will last for many years. The fact that it is dual purpose make it great value for money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is travelling in a car with young children.

The BabyCam Car Monitoring System was very easy to set up and install, the only part that took a while was to line up the camera angle so that baby was in full view as you have to loosen the camera mount, adjust , tighten then shut the door to see if the angle was correct.

The picture/sound quality is fantastic and also has night vision for when its dark which was also very clear.

The device has built in rechargable batteries which are charged using you car’s lighter socket and last for upto 4 hours. In our vauxhall zafira our lighter socket is under the handbrake so the double adapter supplied was in the way while using the handbrake.

It was great to be able to see our child at all times and to know she was ok. Sometimes newborns do get upset initially when put in the carseat so it was reasuring to be able to see if this was the case or if she was maybe upset due to her hat slipping down over her eyes etc. also on the otherhand its great to see if she is ok when she is awake but being quiet so rather than me driving worrying why she isnt making a noise i can clearly see she is either happy or has fallen asleep!

Although I don’t find the volume control necessary in the car, it is a great feature if used indoors for nap times etc.

At first i thought £99.99 was alot of money but after using the Babycam it is worth it as you can spend nearly this amount on a basic baby moitor that doesnt have a video screen or cant be used in your car.
