Short Title: Good but not with foot brake
Review:
I only got the kid sit today and although it was really easy to fit to my Quinny Speedi, the design means I am no longer able to use the foot brake. I had checked compatibility prior to purchasing it so this was very disappointing. Living on a hill it is also quite dangerous! The location of the brake peddle means that the kid sit also doesn’t clip up out of the way more than a few inches. For these two reasons I have marked down the ‘Ease of use’ rating.
It is quite frustrating as all the manufacturer would have to do is modify the shape of the board closest to the buggy slightly and the issues would be broadly resolved.
The quality was also lacking – the plastic has not been cut out of one of the holes that the seat attachment slots into. If I decide to keep it (despite the brake issue), I will have to cut this out myself. For this reason I have marked down the ‘Quality’ rating.
Overall – great concept but hasn’t been fully thought through… bring on verison 2!

Short Title: Great fun for toddlers
Review:
My son is 2yrs 9months and whilst he walks most of the time, he likes to sit down. The kid-sit is a great product for toddlers its so much fun too. It is a seat and buggy board in one and my toddler preferred to keep it as a seat. He calls it his ‘scooter’ and it makes doing the mundane, like shopping really fun. It fits very easily to the buggy although because of the location of the brake on my Quinny Speedi it meant not being able to use the brake properly. It doesn’t make pushing the buggy any harder with it attached and people commented on the ‘little seat’ which for once meant my boy got the attention and not the baby! It has an excellent gizmo for tightening the straps which means your not there for ages trying to attach/unattach it. It clips up when not needed and I never once banged my shins! Having had a buggypod I find this so much easier and less fiddly. Price-wise it isn’t cheap but then there isn’t a comparison really. I think it’s worth the money. It’s very sturdy and well made

Short Title: Removing the need for a double Pushchair??
Overall Verdict: Works very well, and cheaper than a double puschair!!
Best Feature: The comfy, detachable seat unit.
Worst Feature: The small hook for lifting the board out of use.
Review:
If you have a toddler who will walk MOST of the time, but sometimes gets tired legs, and a baby who needs the pram, this could well be the answer.
Unlike other buggy boards, the Kid-sit has 2 functions. It can be used as a traditional board, where the child stands, or far more fun for my tester, a seat unit can be very easily snapped into place, and the child can enjoy a comfortable ride.
Fitting was very straight forward – it fits most prams with a rear axle, using very easy to operate staps. It can be lifted out of use by a hook system which is easily attached to the handlebar. I found this a little unreliable to hold the board up, actually, the hook was a little small for the job.
The board was easy to push as it is very light, and the single swivel wheel gives great manouvarability. I did find myself having to lean back a little to avoid kicking the board when walking, but it really wasn’t that much of a problem. It went up and down smaller curbs very well, although needed a little help on the larger ones.
Folding my pushchair for the car really wasn’t affected, plus the unit is fitted and removed so quickly, I would be happy to remove it if necessary.
I have a 3 wheeler pushchair, essential for the wood and muddy field walking we do everyday. Clearly, the Kid-sit was not up to that task! But then I dont think many buggy boards are!
For a child who can’t quite manage to walk all the time yet, but really doesn’t warrant the purchase of a new double pram for a short space of time, this novel idea may well be the answer. My daughter enjoyed it immensely, and was very secure holding on to the strap at the front.
However, the price of the unit is, I feel, a bit steep.
