I can’t get over how much lighter than my old Maxi Cosi the Kiddy Nest is! the nest is also incredible value for money at just £50. The car seat doesn’t have any bells or whistles but it is functional and easy to clean and to get your baby in and out of.
I find the buckles a lot easier to use than my old Maxi Cosi but I find it hard to get the Nest into my car, the back hook that you fasten the seat belt through is sometimes very tricky to get the belt into if you are in a hurry.
The covers on the seat are good quality and easy to wipe clean. There is a little embroidered marker to show you where to press to release the seat belt and sometimes it isn’t sitting in exactly the right place.
The handle on the Nest sits in three different positions which means you can use it as a rocker when you are away from home.
As a budget car seat I think the kiddy nest is awesome value.

The Kiddy Nest car seat is great. The seat is a lot lighter than the maxi cosi. This makes it really useful following delivery especially after a csection. However on the downside because it is light it makes you fear that it is not very sturdy. The manufacturers reassure that it has past all its safety standards.
The cushion and its covers are good quality. They are made of a material that looks like leather and can easily be wiped clean without having to take the cover off to put in the washing machine this saves a lot of time as the maxicosi is less easy to clean. Therefore you cant use the car seat till the cover is dry.
It has an extra smaller cusion seat for the new born to help support their heads this can be removed as the child gets older and larger.
The seat can easily be fitted into the car with no hassel. It fits like all other standard seats. It is a good size only taking one passenger seat. ie some of the car seats can be quite large and bulky which means it takes up more than one seat and therefore limits the number of people sitting in the passenger seats.
The only problem that I can see with it is that its not compatible with the travel systems on the market. This limits its use. As it is great to be able to transfer a sleeping baby straight from the car to the pram. This can not be used with these prams as it does not have any clip to fit on to these prams.
Overall it is an easy to use light comfortable car seat which is good value for money. I would definately recommend this car seat.
