Zia 4 is a great looking lightweight pushchair but also takes our group 0+ car seat making a truly easy to use travel system. Zia 4 reclines and is suitable from birth (to around 3 years), but for those first few weeks or months use a super snug cocoon so you can have your newborn facing you.

Short Title: Good value pushchair
Review:
I bought this pushchair predominantly for my niece who is a year old having previously tried out the 3 wheel version. My nephew who is 2, is tall for his age but fits in the zia with ease. I decided to go for the 4 wheel version because I prefer them over 3 wheels.
When the pushchair arrived, it was well packaged and easy to assemble. There were instructions but being a pramaholic, I used my initiative and put it together in a couple of minutes. This involved fitting the wheels and hood.
Starting with the handles, on the Zia+ version which I have, you can press the little button on the outside of both handles and they adjust.
The frame of the pushchair is lightweight at 8kg but the 3 wheeler version is slightly lighter and folds smaller so this might be a better option for some.
The seat on the zia+ is wide and spacious with an almost flat recline which is adjusted at the back of the seat. The mechanism can be a little stiff to use but I think this will get better after time. The basket is an OK size but you are unable to use it whilst the seat is reclined.
There is a footplate rather than an adjustable footrest which is made from strong plastic and is wipe clean but I can’t help thinking that an adjustable footrest might be more comfortable when the little one is having a nap.
The hood on the seat is wide but not particularly deep so I expect I will need to get a UV net or parasol for sunny weather. There is a 5 point harness which is easy to adjust too. The 4 wheel version has a bumper bar because it can also carry a carseat and a carrycot, neither of which I have with this model. The bumper bar is really easy to use and is a good addition to the pushchair. It can be removed on one side by pressing on the grey button underneath. The bumper bar has a gate opening so you can move it out of the way when getting your little one in and out which is perfect if you don’t want to remove it completely.
The brake is located on the left back wheel and you simply need to push on the red lever with your foot. To take off, you press the gray button. The brake would be OK on flat ground, but I think anything with a slope may not work as well.
The folding mechanism is really easy to use. You press on a black button on the top of the handle whilst at the same time, pulling up on some catches under each handle. There is also a bar at the top of the frame which you need to press on and the bar will fold down. This must be folded or the frame will not fold down correctly. There is a catch to close the pushchair up and you are able to stand the frame in your hallway when not in use. To make the size smaller, you can remove all the wheels by pressing on small grey buttons located on the underside of the wheels. To put the pushchair back up again, remove the catch and flick the frame out remembering to click the bar on the top of the frame and you are ready to go!

Short Title: Good but flawed
Review:
I only have the pushchair not the travel system, but wanted to review it as I couldn’t find any reviews when I bought it.
I bought this pushchair in lime green as a replacement for my Quinny Zapp when it became clear that my boy wouldn’t sleep in the Zapp. I went for the Zia 4 over the Zia 3 as it was more stable than the 3 wheel pushchair, it had a bumper bar and an improved mechanism for reclining the seat.
It folds up small (not as small as the Zapp but still compact) and is easy to put up and down.
Why is it flawed? The seat unit is really hard, my little boy seams to slump in the seat (he is not small either) and it feels a little flimsy. On this basis, I am not sure it will last him until he is 3.
Overall, it suits us at the moment but I am sure it won’t be the last pushchair I buy.
