About the reviewer: Mum to one of each flavour!
Short Title: It works for us!
    Review:
I honestly think this is a fab product…

The concept is similar to a throw over rain cover, so you need to fully extend your hood and then the elasticated edges stretch over the hood and then 3 sets of velcro loop ties secure the edges to the chassis of your buggy.

It took a couple of attempts to find the optimum positioning of the ties on my mountain buggy but now I’ve ‘got it’ I can completely black out the inside!

My son is used to sleeping for 2 hours every afternoon in his cot, so our recent holiday with day trips everyday put the snooze shade to the test perfectly – and it didn’t disappoint. My boy slept peacefully and importantly stayed cool despite the moderately warm temperatures.

I’d fully recommend this product and will be using it for as long as he needs his afternoon naps when we are out and about!

About the reviewer: Mum to 3 1/2 yr old boy and 10 month old girl.
Short Title: Practical and very useful
    Review:
We first tried this sun shade out on a trip to Madrid with our 10 month old daughter.
At first I wasn’t very impressed, thinking that it was a bit fiddly and didn’t fit our bugaboo very well, however, with a little bit of fiddling and adjusting of the velcro ties, it worked very well. It kept her in the dark on very sunny hot days and was great out and about in the evening too. She stayed asleep for much longer than usual with the shade on the pushchair instead of a blanket or jumper draped over – which was our previous solution!
Will definitely be using it all summer when we’re out and about – is a great product , but persevere to get it to fit your buggy!

About the reviewer: Mum to 6 month old Dulcie
Short Title: Practical, easy to use shade
    Review:
Dulcie is a very inquisitive and alert 6 month old so making her rest whilst I am out and about is nigh-on impossible. Getting her to sleep isn’t the problem, keeping her asleep is. I thought the SnoozeShade might be the answer to my prayers.

It has an elasticated edge so that it can be stretched over the frame of most buggies and prams, as well as ties which attach it firmly to the frame.

I tested the shade during two sunny days we snatched at the end of March and I have to say that it was great. The sensory deprivation allowed Dulcie to stay asleep for over an hour each time I used it and despite the shade being black it didn’t seem as though she was overheating; this was quite a concern for me. The shade has a ‘sneek-a-peek’ zip opening so that you can check on the bambino which was a really useful feature. However, if baby is not fully asleep the zip being undone can wake them up. It did Dulcie, however she quickly closed her eyes and went back off.

The shade fits back inside it’s own mesh bag which fits easily inside any standard changing bag.

I think the shade will come into its own as Summer approaches but from my experience so far I would already say that it’s a good investment for any parent with a very alert child.

About the reviewer: Mummy to a 5 month old
Short Title: Ok but not as expected
    Review:
I was really excited to receive the snooze shade as my 5 month old is so nosey when we’re out and about and will not sleep if there’s anything going on, and as we don’t have anyone to babysit him we often take him to restaurants and parties on Saturdays with us so thought this would be perfect.

We took it out the packet and thought it was a great idea that it came in a mesh bag to keep it together, similar to a rain cover. Read the instructions which were easy to follow and got out the shade.

When we opened it up it didn’t look as I expected it too… but we had a go at putting it on our pram. It has velcro ‘ties’ to strap to the bars and frame of your buggy and elasticated edges to stretch around the frame. This is a fab idea but unfortunately doesn’t really work out for our pram/buggy.

I have a Silver cross surf and the seat part of the pram is no where near the chassis or frame so the velcro pieces were a little pointless, we managed to find a couple of places to strap them too but for the rest of it we had to rely on the elasticated edge staying in place which meant there were small gaps at each side of the seat.

It did keep most of the light out however.

When we put our child in he was tired but still awake so we hoped that not being able to see anything would help him to sleep…he found it more entertaining to kick the Snooze shade instead.

There is a zip on the front which you can unzip to take a peep at your LO… we checked on Mason every 5 to 10 minutes to see if he had gone to sleep… for the 1st half hour we were greeted by ‘rabbit in head light’ eyes followed by a giggle… he just thought it was funny!

We ended up getting him out a letting him go to sleep in our arms, then putting him in the pram and putting the snooze shade on to help keep him asleep which worked.

I think if you didnt have such a nosey child like mine and a different buggy it could work… or to help your child stay asleep once theyre already asleep.

If you’re going to buy it I would recommend seeing if a shop have one which you can try before hand to make sure it fits your buggy.

I’m going to persevere with it though and try and get my LO to learn that when the snooze shade is on… he sleeps!

About the reviewer: Mum of twins
Short Title: One of the best ‘baby’ things I ever bought!
    Review:
I have twins, one of whom always refused to sleep in the buggy. He is a little livewire that hates to miss out. A friend suggested I try SnoozeShade, and I bought one when they were just over a year old.

I was sceptical as nothing had worked before and I thought that they would be too old by then. How wrong was I! I used it for the first time slap bang in the middle of spectating at the London Marathon. There were tannoys, vuvuzelas, people cheering and so much going on. BOTH boys slept like angels for over an hour! The boys are now almost two and I have used my Snoozeshade on every holiday and day out since. One of the best ‘baby’ things I ever bought!
