The book is very repetitive so you can get through it quickly. The idea of mirroring back to your baby is good and my little boy has responded well to that. The book helps you to be aware of what your little one might be trying to tell you and that can’t be a bad thing!! I found it much easier after a few weeks though. Definitely worth a read.

I found the book easy to read. I managed to whizz through it during 2 or 3 breastfeeding sessions, as I was keen to start practising the method on my 12 week old boy.

Although quite repetitive, the concept is pretty straightforward – Observe, Mirror and Respond.
A lot of the ‘tongue talking’ in the book appears to be food related, however it also covers other possible problems – Constipation, illness, wind etc.
Of course every baby is different and it could take time to learn and understand exactly what your baby’s signals are trying to tell you, I found that by simply mirroring the facial expressions my baby instantly seemed to be more smiley and happier.

I would recommend this to other people. Even if you can’t quite decipher what your baby is trying to tell you, you do feel like you’re bonding more with your baby.

I was slightly dubious when I first got this book. It is small and looks and feels slightly like one of the free books you receive with a magazine.

That being said the book is clear and easy to read. It can be read fairly quickly so you do not need masses of time to put aside (which is good if you are reading it after having your baby).

The method itself is simple and easy to follow. It has been extremely rewarding following this method with my daughter. It is very enjoyable to see her smile as we communicate with mirroring. I am sure we will fine tune our communication the more we continue.

The first three chapters are essential to read as there is important information. However, they are slightly tough going as there is a lot of sales bumf in this section and the important information probably could be condensed into one chapter.

The pictures (or drawings) from chapter four could be clearer and it would have been great if there were more examples.

The method itself is extremely good and well worth the read. The book is great value for money and the process is very rewarding. Whilst you have to perceiver through what feels like pages of sales promotion it is definitely worth the purchase
