My kids are big Thomas fans, so when this dvd started they were very happy. There were some really good stories and the quality is very high, I love how educational this dvd is but is fun to watch and listen to. We all like the cartoon bits and the ‘real’ life bits too at the station. The change from cartoon to the station is good too with the colouful train picture and choo choo noises. The dvd is running time is good, just right I think and it holds the childrens interest with just the right amount of diversity.
I would recommend this dvd to other parents of Thomas fans so ‘all aboard’ Thomas in charge, choo choo. Haha.

My son loves Thomas so a new Thomas and Friends DVD is always a must have. The first day he got it he watched it non-stop. He loved all the stories and hasn’t stopped talking about Mavis since. He also liked the extras like down on the station, and particularly liked learning about what a real life train guard/ ticket collector does. The only critisim I have is the “watch with Mr Perkins” I’ve noticed him on quite a few of the new DVDs and I find him a bit condesending and a bit unneccesary. I preferred the games they used to have between some of the episodes, my son used to really enjoy them. I’ve maybe missed something but I just don’t understand where Mr Perkins has come from or who exactly he is because I’ve never heard of him before I think it would make more sence if the children could “watch with the Fat Controller” or someone they recognise from the stories. In saying all that my son doesn’t seem to mind him too much although he has started selecting an episode so maybe he does lol! All in all a great DVD with the “very useful” moral too each story which you expect from “Thomas and Friends”. If your child likes Thomas or any of the engines they’ll love this.

My daughter enjoyed watching the new stories. She also enjoyed watching the down at the station, on the extras and wanted to keep watching it. It was a nice little video to watch and a change from just cartoons. The guess who part, wasn’t very good and she lost interest straight away. My daughter enjoyed watching the clips form Mr Perkins, although i found that part a little boring.
A great dvd for all thomas fans.

My Son is Thomas mad, so had to let him see this! He whistles like Thomas whenever he sees him so when I put the DVD in and Thomas came on he kept whistling over and over until I pressed play. He absolutely loved watching it.
The stories were very good and as always there is a moral of the story at the end so he learns what the morals are. For example its good to help your friends. It was also very bright and colourful so kept his attention.
The only thing we didn’t like was the bit in between each episode with Mr Perkins. Although he was telling a story it seemed to go on for a long time and it was just a man in a room talking, but it didn’t involve Thomas or the other engines in any way so my son found it boring, as did I.
I would definitely recommend this to any Thomas fan but ‘select an episode’ instead of ‘watch with Mr Perkins’!
